Whenever we end up doing the GA this week, we HAVE to go over strategy for Saturday's Bank Transfer Day. There's a load of people in the movement that will be closing their accounts, and we need to go over logistics before hand.

scrambledegg81 created a new topic Atascadero Walmart gets green light in the forum.I realize I haven't been by in a while, but something has come up that needs the attention of the OSLO movement. Tonight, the Atascadero city council unanimously approved the construction of a new Walmart within the Atascadero city limits.
For those of you that haven't seen it, I highly encourage you to watch Walmart: The High Cost of Low Price (available on Youtube). I've been ardently fighting against Walmart wherever I live, and the group I was involved with in El Centro was able to prevent Walmart from building a new store in Brawley, less than 5 miles away from their first store. With Atascadero's current economic state, a Walmart would destroy the vast majority of the city's small businesses overnight.
This proposed store would be the second in SLO county, and the third within an hour's drive. If anyone is interested in fighting this conglomerate, let me know. I hope to hear back from Sprawlbusters soon.

Everywhere I look, Al Jazeera, MoveOn, and even Twitter has hash tags regarding the bill.
Keep it up, keep spreading the word.

Sandi ► scrambledegg81 i have a truck load of food for thanksgiving, and thought i could at least feed steve and i and any other non tweakers or non abusers/bullies. I lost his phone number. if rob and you are gonna be there tonight, thursday, perhaps i will brave it down on my own. i got the rv working great, just have to pack some pots and pans. i ahve another flag i found, and an interesting 8 foot white vinyl shade. after dinner and some work i could just crash until 3, for street sweeping, if someone can wake me up.

This movie is obviously focused on the topic of marijuana prohibition, but it's probably one of the best sources of information
regarding the financial and economic aspects involved in prohibition in terms of legal expenditures and law enforcement, as well as tax revenues that are foregone because of prohibition.

Sandi ► scrambledegg81 you sent announcement? i can not longer do anything for this group. i am now banned from posting in the forums. i did absolutely nothing wrong. who is running this forum? if it is same person who barred me from the facebook site, this will say much. it is wednesday afternoon, and we are only now getting notice on early monday raid? i got report email, one person there monday, camp is mess, last person smoking and looking drugged, except steve today. perhaps given how extensive everything is messed up, even the online presence, are we just waiting for the cops to raid and ransake? is that why evan is not returning any possessions to people as he promised?

If we can get this up & running, I heard something about an RV a few weeks ago, but didn't think it would realistically work out in front of the courthouse, so the Mitchell Park idea would be fantastic. I'd be willing to return to OSLO and help out with the medical team if this pans out...finally some positive news!!

I recall there was a conversation about 3-4 weeks ago about local law professionals that might be willing to assist the Occupy movement if needed? If I'm correct about that, can we possibly have them evaluate the letter in a legal sense? If not, it might be good idea to get a legal perspective on what this notification means, if anything.
